Before vs. after

Google algorithm update tracker

Algorithm changes can drastically affect website performance. SERPHeroes visualizes the traffic impact after every Google update — so instead of reading speculation, you can look at which sites actually grew and work backwards from there.

How to use it

Three questions the update view answers

“Was it me, or was it Google?”

Compare your own drop against the whole niche. If everyone moved the same way, it was the algorithm, not your site.

“What did the winners do differently?”

Sort by the biggest gainers in your niche and look at what their content depth, authorship and link profile have in common.

“Is this niche safe to enter?”

A niche where most sites got hit repeatedly is a volatile bet. One where the leaders held steady across several updates is a much calmer place to build.

Method

How the impact is calculated

For each confirmed Google update we snapshot estimated organic traffic in the period before the rollout begins and again once the rollout has fully settled. The percentage shown is the change between those two windows.

Traffic figures are third-party estimates, so treat a single number as directional rather than exact. What makes the view reliable is that the same method is applied to every domain — so the comparison between sites holds even where the absolute figure is approximate.
